TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read carefully as all bookings with Tailored Trails are subject to the following terms and conditions. In booking with us, you agree to be bound by these conditions which form the agreement between Tailored Trails and you (and your party).
Making a booking
To reserve your ticket, you and all members of your party should complete the online registration and ensure that all members of your party understand and accept the conditions outlined in this document. Prices quoted are in Australian dollars and are payable by direct deposit or credit card. Full payment is required upon booking to secure airport and MTB transfers. For multi-day packages a 30% deposit is required upon itinerary confirmation to secure bookings and accommodation, with the full amount due 14 days prior to booking date.
Changing or cancelling a booking
Any requests to change or cancel a booking must be emailed to [email protected]
In the case of a change in booking, this does not guarantee your change will be accepted, all changes are subject to the availability of transfer/tour services and accommodation providers. Changes will not be accepted within 48 hours of the confirmed booking, in this case refunds may apply as per the cancellation policy.

The following refund policies apply to cancellations of transfer services and food and wine tours:
• Cancellations outside 7 days of booking will receive a refund of 90% of the total booking cost.
• Cancellations received between 7 days and 48 hours of booking will forfeit 50% of the cost.
• If your cancellation is received within 48 hours or less of your agreed booking, no refund will be provided.
The following refund policies apply to cancellations of package tours (including accommodation):
• Cancellations outside 30 days of booking will receive a refund of 90% of the total booking cost.
• Cancellations received between 30 and 7 days of booking will forfeit 50% of the total cost.
• If your cancellation is received within 7 days or less of your agreed booking date, no refund will be provided.
Personal travel insurance is not included in the price of any service we provide. It is a condition of booking with Tailored Trails that you are adequately insured in respect of travel costs, illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, damage to or loss of bicycle or equipment and cancellation or curtailment. It is your responsibility to make such insurance arrangements.
We carry your bike and equipment without accepting any liability for any accident or damages. Bike insurance is not included in the price of the service and we recommend you have your bike privately insured in case of a mishap, accident or damage. We are not liable for any additional bike hire expenses in the event your bike is damaged whilst in transit or use. It is your responsibility to ensure that your equipment is adequate to the terrain and environment.
Travel duration times are subject to change due to traffic and weather conditions. Tailored Trails recommends that when making travel plans, you ensure that a contingency is in place for unforeseen circumstances that may occur and are out of our control. Tailored Trails reserves the right to cancel or delay a service due to inclement weather, snow or icy conditions, or other conditions that are likely to be hazardous to the safety of participants or the driver. You acknowledge that you have no right to refund of the tour cost or right to claim any compensation for any injury, loss or damage or other additional expenses incurred by virtue of the change or cancellation. This includes but is not limited to airfares, equipment expenses or accommodation costs. Travel insurance may compensate you depending on the circumstances.
Right to Refuse Travel
Tailored Trails reserves the right to refuse travel or remove from the vehicle any passenger, regardless of whether the passenger holds a valid ticket, where the passenger;
• Behaves in a disruptive, threatening or unlawful manner and may pose a threat to themselves, other passengers, staff or property; or
• is observed smoking, consuming alcohol or taking illicit drugs or attempting to smoke, consume alcohol or take illicit drugs on board.
In the event travel is refused or a passenger is removed from the vehicle, Tailored Trails take no responsibility for inconvenience due to refusal of service, or for any additional cost or expense that may be incurred by you as a result of the refusal of service. Tailored Trails will not provide a refund for the cost of the booking in this event.
Passengers Travelling with a Medical Conditions
For passengers who have a medical condition it is recommended that a carer/chaperone accompany you on your journey. In the event that a passenger becomes ill during their journey the appropriate emergency services will be contacted and the continuation of travel will be determined by the emergency services personnel.
Luggage / Personal Equipment
Tailored Trails does allow for the carriage of luggage and passengers’ bikes and associated riding equipment.
Tailored Trails may refuse carriage of any equipment, if in its opinion the luggage is:
• a hazardous substance or dangerous good;
• likely to be damaged during travel;
• likely to cause damage to our vehicle; or
• likely to cause damage to other passengers’ luggage or any other property.
In the event luggage is refused travel by Tailored Trails, the passenger holds sole responsibility for any and all costs of alternate travel for their luggage. All luggage, including carry-on luggage, is the sole responsibility of the passenger. Tailored Trails accepts no responsibility and will not be liable for any damage to, theft or loss of any passenger luggage whilst using our service, including when on board a vehicle. Personal travel insurance is not included, and we recommend you obtain adequate insurance prior to travel.
Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that adventure travel can be more challenging and demanding with a high level of risk involving potential exposure to injury, and possibly death. You are solely responsible for your actions, and own judgment to participate within your capabilities. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your health and well-being. At times, operational control of your tour may be in the hands of a third party and that your right of action regarding any shortcoming of that third party’s performance is against the third party and not against Tailored Trails. You acknowledge and accept that the activities you choose to participate in may include difficult and dangerous terrain, extremes of weather, including sudden and unexpected changes, remoteness from medical services and from communications and evacuation difficulties in the event of illness or injury. We reserve the right to withdraw any person who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel any activity if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person.
We reserve the right to take and collect digital representations of our services and use these for advertising and public media activities. By accepting these terms and conditions, you accept that your image may, from time to time, be in the social media or associated websites or other media outlets. We will not link these representations to your personal details without your consent.
